Campbell bags his first pass!
A hard day. Started late since we had to pack the vans a drive to the start, so didn't hit the road until 10:30. Then we find out that the Col d'Glandon which we supposed to climb was closed. It only happens one day a year, and it was today. The Croix de Fer climb ends up in the same place though, just had to ride longer to get to it.
It was steep and very hot on many sections, and we had to get in the van to get to the new hotel, so a late shower at 7:30. But, a beautiful climb in the high Alps!
