Day 3

63 Miles, 8,700'

Another 4 pass loop today, only longer and quite a bit harder. First up the Compolongo followed by a big drop, then the difficult and long Passo di Fedaia. It was hot, and there was a long stretch of 12%+ on the 3,400' climb. Next up was the Passo di Pordoi, from the opposite direction of two days ago, and finished with the back side of the Compolongo.

These hills are awesome; covered with ski lifts, wildflowers, and of course the huge rock formations of the Dolomites. We are all pretty whipped after today! Strava: http://app.strava.com/activities/60918860. View from the hotel:
