Then we got on our bikes around 10:20pm:
We rode all night, and ended up in Tahoe Vista Thursday afternoon, after 199 miles and 13,500' of climbing:
To see the route, click here: Unfortunately, the battery died 10 miles from the finish, before our last (and most painful) climb, over Brockway summit. Some of the numbers are wrong due to that and since they include time at Ana's before we left. Here's a rough summary:

Since we had no sag, our stops were long, 20-30 minutes each, some longer. Anyway, it was a great ride; it whipped our butts at the end, but it was magical riding through the night with a full moon. We had our lights off for extended periods of riding.
The only sketchy part was when we had to ride on 80. Highway 20 ends on 80, and we have to ride 3-4 miles on the freeway before we hit the backroads again in Cisco Grove. Normally this is not a problem; there's a nice wide shoulder, and except for all the noise from the trucks, it's not too bad.
This year, as we got off 20 and onto 80, we realized at the last minute that the shoulder was all ripped up for construction; nothing there but a thick level of dirt, unride-able! So, we had to ride on the freeway, which was very bumpy (truck lane), and very scary. Fortunately the trucks all moved into the left lane when passing, and we survived.
Next year I think we'll just do the night ride, and quit at dawn!
