Arrival

Took 23 hours, via full 747-400 SFO->Frankfurt, 3 1/2 hour layover, then a flight to Lyon, then a third to Biarritz. At least I got to nap a bit on this all-nighter, unlike a week ago (see following post). Then a taxi down the coast to St. Jean de Luz, a beach town on the Atlantic in Southern France. Last time I was on the Atlantic in France was in Brest! Arrived around 6:00pm at my hotel on the beach:

Weather is beautiful, beach was packed. Hopefully a good sleep tonight, and tomorrow I ride into the Pyrenees!
