Day 3: Nubio loop

68 Miles, 5,700'
Warm weather, lots of wind - sometimes it was great, sometimes, uh, not so much fun. We are staying Nubio for 2 nights, so today was an out and back to San Vito Lo Capo, a small beach town:
When looking at the route on a map, we noticed it went near Erice, the cool climb we did yesterday, and that there was a second road to the top. Since we like the climb (and definitely the descent) so much, we changed the plan to include riding up the mountain a second time, and going down the same switchbacks as yesterday on the other side, eventually joining the original route. A shot looking down on Trapani on the hill:
Beyond that, today's roads were fairly busy with cars, and not as many photo stops. Had a pizza in San Vito, and headed back. The combination of sun and wind was tiring, but overall another nice ride.
